Germany is in the midst of a honey revival thanks to a beekeeping collective known as Berliner Honig (Berlin Honey.) Berliner Honig was started by Annette Mueller, who had grown up in East Germany at the height of the Cold War.

Back to Madonna. I know I said I was on a TB/WTG kick, but this performance is what made me LOVE her when I was in 7th grade. I had The Virgin Tour on VHS, and upon seeing this opening, I was enthralled. I mean, I liked Like a Virgin, Material Girl, so on and so forth, but seeing this is what made me go out and buy the other albums. Even now, I’m like, shit, I totally get the hype. I’m not so much a fan of Madonna’s current stuff, but I looooooooove her eighties stuff so much.

I have never seen Highlander. Thanks to this music video/song, I now I want to see it like you wouldn’t believe. I am so amped right now. I want to learn sword fighting. I also want to go back in time and go to a Queen concert. I bet they were AWESOME.

I went to MoMA last week and got to see Conky up close!! It’s part of a childhood exhibit, it’s so awesome. There’s also a full-length Pee-wee’s Playhouse episode playing in the background AND Globey AND Clockey AND the iconic red door. eee! I was so excited. I could have stayed for hours just staring at Conky…
