Matthew McConaughey (as “Dallas”)—Ladies of Tampa

I miss last summer. This movie (and Joey Mang, not gonna lie) was my muse. Got so many dishy stories for LivLuna, had a great time with my gal pals the three times I saw it…so many memories tied into one of the most unintentionally hilarious movies EVAR.

Speaking of Larry Hagman…

Speaking of Larry Hagman…

After hanging out with the fabulous LivLuna ladies today and hitting a neat-o record shop in the West Village, I remembered that amongst my massive collection of vintage People Weekly’s, I had a bevy of them featuring fabulous ladies of the late seventies/early eighties. You got the women of Dallas, 9 to 5, Bette Midler, ONJ (I posted her cover before, but it was too fabulous not to post again!) Joan Collins, Joan Rivers, Suzanne Somers, Debbie Harry…oh my!

This deserves its own entry. It’s Larry “J.R. Ewing/Major Nelson” Hagman as a Christmas cowboy. It’s so delightfully tacky, and kinda anti-J.R., really. Guess his handlers still wanted people to think of him as Major Nelson rather than a mean, bastard-y oil tycoon? hmm. How much do you want to bet that he is wearing red cowboy boots and pulling. Them. Off?
