This place has a bitchin’ record collection. There’s a dedicated record room, and then records in all the other rooms. I loved it. Don’t you want to march with the American Legion Band?
Continuing with my Catskills kitsch photos, my friend was very kind and introduced me to the town of Phoenicia, which is a kitsch find in itself. We stopped at the coolest antiques center, Homer and Langley’s Mystery Spot, where we were greeted by a Duane Eddy record on the porch
This beautiful car belongs to my friend’s neighbor, and it’s for sale. Who wants to buy it for me?
I wish I had bought this pitcher, we could’ve used it for lemonade or margaritas in the Catskills and then I could’ve used it for iced tea at home. whomp whaa.
The front counter was filled with kitsch. I wish I could have gotten a shot of the bottom shelf, it was the kitschiest of them all!
We stopped at this cute diner for lunch based on the name alone, The Happy Days cafe. The food was meh, but the decorations were awesome (and probably bought locally!)
GUMBY IS ON NETFLIX INSTANT, AND IT’S NOT THE CREEPY EIGHTIES GUMBY, EITHER! YAY! They also have my favorite episode, “Tree Trouble!” yay!
I went to Cold Spring with my parents today and expanded my Elvis vinyl collection for $5. yay! I love Cold Spring. So many antique/junk shops on one street, it’ll make your head spin.
